How much does a private GP appointment cost?
A private GP appointment at Basuto Medical Centre costs £160 and lasts 30 minutes. Any prescription or private referral letter you need is included in that price – you only pay the pharmacy for the medicine itself. Members pay £80 per appointment.
Can I see a GP today?
Same-day appointments are usually available Monday to Friday. Call 020 7736 7557 or book online and we will fit you in – members get priority when the diary is full.
Do I need to register before I can book?
No – anyone can book a one-off appointment without registering. We will take your details when you book, and you can join as a member later if you want ongoing care.
Do you see children?
Yes. We see babies, children and teenagers, including 6-week baby checks, childhood immunisations and same-day appointments for unwell children. Dr Nora Al-Saraf leads our paediatric care.
Where is the practice and how do I get there?
Basuto Medical Centre is at 29 Basuto Road, Fulham SW6 4BJ – three minutes’ walk from Parsons Green itself and five minutes from Parsons Green station on the District line. The number 22 bus stops on New Kings Road nearby, and there is pay-and-display parking on surrounding roads.
Do you offer video appointments?
Yes – your appointment can be a video call, including a first appointment, though where possible we prefer to meet you in person first. Video consultations last 30 minutes and cost £160, the same as in person. Prescriptions are sent to your pharmacy and private referral letters are emailed to you.
